Johnny Ruffin Jr. is a Nationally Billboard Gospel recording artist from Lewiston, North Carolina. He is the owner of JBP Music Entertainment. He has recorded for several Stellar Award nominees and winning artists. Johnny has worked with both Stellar and Grammy Award winners. Named “Male Vocalist of the Year” (2014, 2015, and 2016) and Contemporary Male Vocalist 2021 by S&M Gospel Indie Awards. Named Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year and Quartet CD of the Year by Rhythm Of Gospel (2020). Johnny received The 2021 President’s Award by The American Gospel Quartet Convention, Traditional Male Vocalist & Best Male Performance by NIGMA (National Independent Gospel Music Alliance 2021). Also Nominated Soloist of the Year (2021) by Divine Connection. Johnny has recorded six albums of his own: “It’s Not About Me,” ”The Last Mile,” “Used By You,” ''Never Give Up'' “I’m Gonna Praise The Lord”, and Just Johnny. His mother recognized his musical gifts at an early age and guided him into the multi-talented musician that he is today. In addition to his vocal talents, Johnny plays multiple instruments, such as piano, organ, drums, lead and bass guitar.

Johnny shares his passion for Christ through song with the residents of many local nursing homes. He is also employed by the Northampton County Public Schools as a Student Success Advisor. He’s been featured on TV, radio shows, in several newspapers and magazines highlighting his many musical accolades.
